It’s all about the gains!

If you are anything like me, then no matter what you eat you hardly gain any weight, and regularly get comments like “You’re so skinny “or “Do you eat properly?”, while most of you can’t relate, whereas those who can, keep on reading! I am going to list a few foods which helped me gain 5kgs in two weeks, hope it will help you too.

  1. Dates:

Eating dates every morning before breakfast helps a lot, they are a high source of sugar, and fiber. Two to three dates per day are more than sufficient.

  1. Milk:

Dates and milk is a good combination, I would have them every day. Milk is a source of calcium and vitamin B12.

  1. Chicken:

Boiled and salted chicken is great in protein. I ate it every day after my early dinner. For the people who are vegetarians, they can opt for tofu or paneer which is an equally great alternative.

  1. Fish:

It really helps if you want to gain fast, as I am not much of a seafood fan, so I only had it once a week. It is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids.

  1. Rice:

It is rich in carbs, I would consume it twice everyday

  1. Fruits:

I would have half a kg of bananas every day.  Bananas are rich in calories

There are many foods to gain weight like butter, raisins, yogurt, but these are the few foods that help me. I would be very energy-less and lethargic before, changing diet and lifestyle has made me more active.

At last, exercise, with light weight lifting and proper sleep helped me a lot. People with lightning fast metabolism need to constantly eat high carb meals throughout the day, I would always be chomping on salads and fruits between my main meals. I would also take multivitamins to provide any vitamins that I didn’t get through my diet. With this kind of metabolism, patience is the key, for few people gaining even 5kgs must be a two day’s work, for me it was a really tiring process, eating so many meals, and exercising, but my advice would be just to stay focused and motivated!

Having a healthy diet is as important as having healthy weight.
