Mussorie : queen of hills

Mussoorie is a picturesque hill station in Uttarakhand. It is in the foothills of garhwal Himalayas. The plethora of sheer beauty that surrounds the place is nothing like anything. It takes us away from the cacophony and monotonous schedule and gives us a new pinch of peace of tranquillity. The very air and atmosphere of Mussoorie has that chill and serenity that grasps the visitors and captures there soul till the time they live here. Despite of hustle and bustle the place is so peaceful and calm.

Weather in Mussoorie remain pleasant all time which attracts large number of tourists and visitors every year. The hill station look beautiful in every season but the best time to enjoy Mussoorie to the fullest is between March to June and September to November.

As the “baby sun” open eyes for the dawn life in small houses and For tourists starts getting stirred to lovely wakening. The curvy road which resembles the back of double humped camel and water falling with all majesty are some ways to begin up with Mussoorie but they are not alone.

Mussoorie stands out to be the major tourist attractions in India and why not when it has so many places to feast the mind and sight.

Let’s start with Kempty Fall it is somehow approx 13 kms away from the city. A bit crowdy but  this place cannot be left out. The water here falls down a valley, gains maximum momentum during monsoon.

Gun Hill is the second highest peak in Mussoorie and adventurous for those who love walking. It is said that earlier at 12 noon a gun was fired from that hill so that the localities can adjust the trimmings. Isn’t that interesting?

Love shopping? Visit Mall Road with beautifully architecture buildings, tourist  hush, fast food stalls make the scenic part of Mall Road. Buffet for those who buy indigenous shawls and winter cardigans at most affordable price. 

Lal Tibba is the highest peak in Mussoorie which provides some amazing and never seen view of mountains that house the holy shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath. A telescope is also installed to give clearer picturesque views to the visitors.

Landour  is a quaint cantonment town on a steep slope about 4 km from Mussoorie. It offers exceptionally rejuvenating experiences with it’s unpolluted and peaceful environment. It shows the panoramic views of Himalayas. 

Mussoorie tour is like golden amber which keeps spark of rejuvenation kindled in the mortal body and immortal soul. It makes you believe that life is a simpler equation than the complex puzzle we try to solve at cities. It takes you away from regular slogging in an aura of peace and romanticism.
